Relexify ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or track any personal information.

What We Don't Collect:

Personal identifiable information (name, email, phone number)
Usage analytics or behavioral data
Location data
Device identifiers for tracking
Advertising data

Data Storage

All of your vocabulary data is stored locally on your device using:

UserDefaults - for app settings and preferences
App Group container - for sharing data between the main app and widget

Your data never leaves your device except when explicitly required for app functionality (see Third-Party Services below).

Third-Party Services

Relexify uses the following third-party service to provide core functionality:

OpenAI API

When you use translation or vocabulary enrichment features, your words and sentences are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This is necessary to provide:

Translations
Word definitions and glosses
Example sentences
Synonyms and collocations

Important: These requests contain only the text you choose to translate or the words you add. No personal information or user identifiers are sent to OpenAI.

Server Logs

Our backend servers maintain technical logs for operational purposes (debugging, error monitoring). These logs:

Contain no user identifiers
Are used solely for technical maintenance
Are not used for analytics, tracking, or marketing
Are not shared with third parties

Children's Privacy

Relexify does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is designed for general audiences and language learners of all ages.

Data Security

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you maintain full control over it. We recommend:

Keeping your device secure with a passcode
Regularly backing up your device

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

Access: All your data is visible in the app
Delete: You can delete individual words or all data by deleting the app
Export: Your data is stored in standard formats on your device

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
